1.      Replace cabinet hardware. This is a great warm-up project to get you started! Upgrade your kitchen inexpensively by replacing your cabinets’ pulls or knobs. This easy switch out can usually be done in a day – it’s typically as easy as unscrewing old hardware and installing the new.  

2.      Install crown molding. Buyers love to see crown molding and for good reason…it really elevates your rooms and makes them feel more custom. No longer just for the tops of walls, crown molding can be added to upper cabinets, in entryways, around fireplace mantels, and more. Depending on how much you’re installing, this project can be easily done in as little as a weekend with just a few inexpensive tools.

3.      Put on a fresh coat of paint. Doesn’t it seem like there’s not much a new coat of paint can’t fix? Look at all the places that paint may be able to breathe in new life – from updating wood paneling, to giving cabinets a new look, to adding an accent wall. Winter is the perfect time add a pop of color; paint manufacturers often run sales, and professional painters offer deals as well (less demand works in your favor!).

4.      Easy bathroom updates. Projects that can make all the difference include switching out your vanity, changing your faucet or other fixtures, and re-grouting tile.
